Axe #2 - This untraditional axe is fully functional and looks awesome. The blade is made from an industrial paper cutter welded to a steel shank. The oak wood handles are glued to the shank and then I used stainless steel pins for extra strength. To finish the axe I gave it a nice coat of boiled linseed oil.
The curvature of the axe handle is very comfortable for me and the shape of the blade gives an interesting cut angle.
I personally have tested this axe out and it works great. I recommend this for light use and cutting. Not for daily cutting. And would look awesome on display.
